HELLO peeeople! ;p

i'm here to update this very dead blog about our sentosa outing XD
13 people turned up [davin, qihan, jerrold, douglas, jeremy (left early), yingjie, dominic (came later), weiling, jiacong, wensi, rachel oon, yanlin and me!]and yes it was quite fun. so i'm here to do my paparazzi job by posting the pics!

it was a feng1 he2 ri4 li4 day (hahahaha pri school chinese xDDD), and so we headed to sentosa at about 3pm (after making everyone wait for me! haha sorry PAISEHHH ._. )

there were the girls... ( excluding yingjie sitting on the jetty and the group of ahbengs next to us)

and of course, the guys...

and Davin the skinny dipper! hahaha jkjk, he was just enjoying the nice cool water xD (right?)

after playing rather unsuccessful umpteenth rounds of beach volleyball in approx 2 hours , inclusive of flying sand and water (haha. we knocked so many people and that cute dog!) , some very happy people... (like qihan and jerrold. LOL)

decided to bury SOMEone, in the sand! so we decided to scour the place for that very privileged someone...

and we spotted our dear target frolicking in the water metres away...

ahh there you are! yes davin! HAHAHA :p (davin: aahh? )

so we started digging, for a nice comfortable position for mister davin to lie in... first, there were 2... (digdigdig, pantpantpant)

then, there were 3! and more joined in haha duh. (guess who's toes!)

and finally, after minutes of digging, pespiration and complains of cracks appearing (LOL),
lo and behold! we present to you...

THE MERMAID! yes! you didnt read wrongly (:

ahh he looked so lonely and pathetic lying there by himself ):

so kind yingjie decided to offer him a kiss! :D

now, dont we have to acknowledge the people behind this masterpeice? HAHAHA yes. presenting to you... the PEOPLE, (and the big gulp wensi took from the group of eccentric ah bengs next to us hahaha)

plus WEILING, who kindly took that photo for us! (:

it was quite a happy day, they (look down) can testify to that. (we were playing with wet sand after our burying-davin operation)

oh yes. ahhh what is jiacong trying to do with the volleyball?!??!

and so we left, leaving behind the beautiful sunset,

umm, two announcements here!

1. COMBINED BIRTHDAY for JULY and AUGUST BABIES!

yupp, the title says it all. basically, we are going to meet first in hwa chong on 8th july, aka most schools' national day celebration day cause our school's going to have some weird carnival. that's the rough details for now. might be going to seoul garden or something, not sure yet.

so this is the meeting rough details:

Venue: Hwa Chong Institution, Concourse/Oei Tiong Ham Hall area
Time: after your school celebrations end or at about 12pm
Date: 8th August?

hey!

we're here to contribute some ideas for the next facs outing.
1) seoul garden: expensive but it's a buffet, you see.
2) swensens!
3) esplanade XD

and we predict that most people will not be free this July because of school work, openhouse, competitions, world cup): and stuff.
So, we recommend for the outing to be held on the National Day week (week 7).
FYI, rgs facs will be free coz we'll be having holiday from tuesday to sunday. so yep.

hope that the facs outing will 'come true'.

yepp, and i'd like to share with u guys abt smth interesting that happened to me this morn.

well, this morn i was awoken as usual by my alarm clock at around 5.20am. What struck me the most was that the song "At the Beginning" was playing. And then i realised that one month has passed since slc (thanks to jingbo's nick too). and as i lay on my bed listening to the song, wonderful memories of slc came flooding back to me again. yeaaa, i know, isnt it rather ironic? but ohwells.

oh ya, i really hope that we have have a get together lunch/dinner some time like the end of the month. and we can sorta talk or have fun (:

Hey people,

this is quite irrelevant and emo, so if you want to spare yourself of
tears, please do not read this post.

yupp, today i had outing with last year's SLC participants. Like the
facs, we also had around 50 people in a big group initially, but in the
end only around 7 or 8 turned up for the gathering. it's actually quite
saddening and painful to see that. there were so many things we did, so
many things we do and so many things we will do together. but yet, the
dwindling numbers have always made me wonder if this always happens
every single time. not that i'm doubting the integrity of our
friendship, but seriously and crudely putting it, how many people would
be willing to maintain this friendships and bonds? how many people will
put in the effort?

are all the things we are doing now all short termed? will everything
just fade away into the future's past when we will be living in the
future's present? i have no idea. everyone has an ideal thought an
answer, which is "this will go on" but who is really going to walk this
talk, who is going to materialise all these senseless talk?

but i am very glad that there are still a minority of people like us
from last year that still keep in contact and are very close to each
other. at least some people care. hope you guys would to, or else
everything would be totally meaningless.

it's hard to move on, hard to believe the fact, hard to face reality,
but when we have to, will we leave all these behind and abandon all our
promises?

hey peeepleee, the birthdays are up, just below the taggyboard (: its not complete, only has 44 names and dates, and i know there are 57 of us. so the 13 ppl please pass ur name and birthdate to me and i'll put them up : D

oh ya, on a side note, can an IT genius please create a code of a monthly calendar that will display the norm dates, as well as the person's birthday when the mouse hovers over the date. and the calendar must repeat the events every year.

today...went to study out with emma and was soon joined by the glamourous dominic and master davin+++alfred(extra!)somehow i managed to finish up all my malay homework UNTIL alfred the dumdum came..hahaha.then i figured out that alfred used to have a nick back in his primary school days: it was alFLIRT hahahaha(funny right?) i was laughing my head off on hearing that.but after pondering about it again, it seems quite true;somehow alfred is always surrounded by gals...unless in school of course.

hello people!

emma here. my first post on this blog, i shall not make it too emo.
haha, kiddin ><

okay okay, urmmm, it's been so many days already, but i still can't
admit the fact that slc has passed. i some way, i think i'm living in
denial. everyday, instead of doing homework, i'll check the yahoo
group, the blog, the forum and chat with all my loved ones on msn

i think most of us experienced something a lil but more than
friendship, it's almost like a family now, a really big family. so much
love, so much joy

i think about everyone when i'm doing anything, that's pretty scary,
but yea. today, in the morning, i think bout you guys, in the bus, i
think about you guys, during training, i think about you guys... that
feeling hasn't been so true before and i definitely haven't felt that
before. slc isn't what we should really need to remember. what's
important about living as an slc participant, living its legacy. the
legacy of friendship beyond all boundaries (almost)

as we look back in time and as we glance into the future, all i wanna
see again is us altogether once more and that this special feeling in
my heart would stay for as long as i can remember myself being myself.

and again, LOVE you guys so much, i really don't know how to put it in
words, i think my actions would show it perhaps? will figure out how
though.

hey!!!

hope ppl are having fun at the bbq! :D heh sorry couldnt join you guys although i would really really like to be there. (got grounded by mum >< and now i'm phoneless, keyless, and pocketmoney-less. bleh longgggg story) really glad that wenny called! haha and got to talk to a few ppl on the phone :) hahaha ppl were complaining that they were feeling hot cos of the bbq and stuff and claiming they were HOT. well, i only have want thing to say: too bad i wasnt there to COOL everyone down hehehe. geddit? geddit? hahaha sorry the lame bug must have affected me during the 4 days i spent at SLC (but hey that isnt a bad thing :P)

miss everyone, miss my corp, miss the briefings, miss waking up early to get to hci, miss looking at the clouds at hci, miss the lame jokes (xin chuan mei dian shi! hahaha) and of course wenny's jokes as well hurhur :P, miss SLC, miss everything!! it's been 8 days since SLC ended. and arhh jiacong dun worry i'm sure you're not the only one. bleh and yup with work and everything. i cldnt really concentrate on my work, found myself ending up either checking the slc forum, checking the facs yahoogroups, listening to the songs (walking down the memory lane is <3!), checking to see who's online (and before i noe it i'm trying to figure out what's going on in the mass convo again), and now that there's this blog heh i come here too, or either that i'm just stoning. and then when i read the emails, look at the photos haha i find myself grinning away too (haha and my sisters are wondering why i grin and smile at a computer screen lol)

bish and i really have no idea why i cant bring myself to start doing all the work, pb stuff, congress stuff, sln stuff, convention stuff, schoolwork etc etc. but arhh i suppose i just didnt want to plunge myself back into that crazy mad hectic rushing to meet deadlines mood again when i have slc to think about heh.

oh wells. but i kinda straightened out my thoughts a little. it's probably inevitatble that we'll all have work to do, our busy schedules to keep once sch starts (or even right now during the hols for some of us). hey but who says we'll have to forget slc, who says we'll forget each other just cos we have work to do. nobody's stopping us from still keeping in touch! we'll be busier, yes definitely. but i guess if the slc spirit is really strong, our friendships are really strong, we'll still make time to keep in touch and meet up no matter what. and heh i suppose even if it's impossible to meet up, there are still things like this blog! and our yahoogroup for us to still stay connected :) wheeeeee and if we all still go and crash 13 slc together next year, that goes to show how strong the slc spirit is doesnt it?

and woohoo i'm glad to announced the rg peeps finally handed in the physics pt alr yayy haha meaning i can talk in mass convos properly now >< heh. and i'm looking forward to the second facs outing, will definitely make sure that i'll be there! :P

looks like the blog's getting a lot less stagnant. the tagboard's getting alot more flooded too, go spam go! erm, being left at home to do absolutely nothing for an entire day is not not fun, thus i shall come up with an emo post. hey, when girls like me have too much time on their hands, we tend to think "too much" right? hmm.

anyway, how has everyone been! it's been a few days since slc and i've only got to meet up with a few people. how are the rest of you all doing? i know some are rushing proposals (like me), some are stuck at home gaming and sleeping xP, while the rest are at camp! haha i just really hope everyone's doing fine.

here's something interesting that happend two days ago! i've got his habit of doodling about anywhere (not on walls, mind you!) so as i was editing a hard copy of a finished proposal, i started doodling the words "SLC" all over the proposal forgetting what was my actual motive, and when i realised it was kind of too late because i had already filled 2 pages (yes, i even flipped behind in frustration that the front didn't look nice). sooo, i had to print another copy and yay poof, there went my 15mins of editing.

you can call me crazy but i think i'm really falling ill with the slc disease.
and gladly i kind of realised i'm not the only one -grins-

this post doesn't seem to be too sad! which is a good thing! because i want others to come to the blog, read entries, and then smile, not cry.. right? yupyup, but of course expressing what you really feel would be good too. ay, i really really miss all of you! slc's a really new experience for me, i've never had to role of a facilitator, and i'm really thankful i got to be one of the lucky few to have experienced slc. the one image that can never leave my head? the image of the few of us sitting at a corner of the audi during grand finale laughing our heads off at ourselves as we spoke in lianxX. well, of course this isn't the only image stuck in my head!

the current song playing on my WMP is Mis-Teeq's scandalous, which i'm quite sure many of us here can relate to. -cough- it's a good song! and erm very very true for some of us here! xP anyway, i guess this post didn't even turn out a single bit emo, will try harder next time?

ok, this is gonna be an emo post. firstly, i would like to say that i've got this huge bottle of emotions in me, that somehow cannot be released.

anyway, i was on the bus a few days back, and this song was playing on my poddy. and as the song played, the lyrics set me thinking.

Where on earth would we be 9-10 years down the road, and would we really not be coming back and not hanging out just like thruout the 4 days of slc?

Then i thought of the memorable experiences in slc, especially the grand finale. And i realised that very soon we're gonna grow up to be adults, like in a snap of our fingers, and most importantly of all, will these memories fade?

And i hope not. I hope that we'll still be friends forever. yea. thats all from me. not all actually, coz if i go on the post wld prob be very long. so yea.
